Yogmaya Mandir is an old Hindu temple which is dedicated to Goddess Yogmaya. Yogmaya is the sister of lord Sri Krishna. Yogmaya temple is located in a place called Mehrauli, New Delhi.
It is believed that Yogmaya Mandir is one among the surviving Temples during Mahabharatha period. An important fact about this temple is that the people who live around this ancient temple are taking care of this Yogmaya Mandir for more 5000 years. It is belived that those people who are living around the temple have common ancestors and they started the practice of taking care of this Mandir from 100 years ago. The temple is simple and the architecture is in contemporary style.
Yogmaya’s main festival phoolwalon ki sair started in 1812 which is celebrated in every autumn, it has now become one of the important festival in Delhi, it includes the offering of flowers to Goddess Yogmaya.
