Yadagirigutta Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Lakshmi Narasimha (an avatar of Lord Vishnu who is half human and half animal), Yadagirigutta temple is located on the top of the Yadagiri hills in Yadagiri District which is nearby to Hyderabad, India. Yadagirigutta is at a distance of 6 KM from Riagir Railway station and at a distance of 13 KM from Bhongir Town and 60 kilometers from the city of Hyderabad. Later the Lord appeared in a peaceful form as Yoga Narasimha. A mandala (40 days) Pradakshina is very popular, performed by many devotees to get cured of chronic ailments or diseases. Another legend has it that Shriman Narayana, pleased with Yada’s penance, sent Shri Anjaneya to direct the rishi to a holy spot, where the Lord appeared to him in the form of Shri Lakshmi Narasimha. This spot is marked by a temple located at the foot of the Yadagiri hillock and is located about 5 km from the present temple. There the sage worshipped the Lord for many years.

The history of the temple says that there was saint called Yadava who use to worship Lord Vishnu in the form of Narasimha, pleased with his worship the Lord appeared in front of the saint in three forms of Narasimha by name Jwala Narasimha, Gandaberunda Narasimha and Yogananda Narasimha, the sage then requested the Lord to stay on the top of the hills hence the temple is located on top of the Yadagiri Hills, devotees can the idol of all the three forms of the LordNarasimha.
this is an ancient temple and devotees believe that whatever they pay their wish will be fulfilled by the Lakshmi Narasimha.
