Thirumanancheri is located in Mayiladuthurai taluk, near Kuttalam. It is on the highway connecting Kumbakonam and Mayiladuthurai. The nearest railway station is Mayiladuthurai Junction and the nearest railway station is Kuttalam. There are buses connecting the town with Chennai via Puducherry, Cuddalore, Chidambaram, and Mayiladuthurai. Route no. 5 connects Mayiladuthurai to the temple.
