Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is a Hindu temple mainly worshiped for Lord Murugan. The Temple is situated in Thiruchendur, Tuticorin district, Tamil Nadu, India. Thiruchendur Murugan Temple is one of the six major abodes (or) sacred temples of the Kaumaram religion. The temple is built near the seashore with the seven tire gopuram(tower gate).
The entrance of the temple faces south but opens into the first of two prakarams, the first of which is lined with rows of Yalis mentioned. The inner sanctum of the Murugan temple is in a cave.
Special poojas celebrated every month:-
1) On the Visakam day, Special Abishekam is done for Lord Shanmuga.
2)Special Pooja is done on every Sukla Sashti day in the month of Tamil.
