Pillai Nataraja Temple also referred to as the Chidambaram Nataraja temple or Thillai Nataraja temple, this is a Hindu temple dedicated to Thillai Nataraja – Shiva as the lord of dance – in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India.in this temple there are five elemental Lingas in the Shaivism pilgrimage tradition. Chidambaram is the capital of Cholas in the 10th century, they renamed it to Chidambaram and built the current temple for their family deity of Thillai Nataraja Shiva. The main deity is Lord Shiva. Shaivism is the pilgrimage tradition of Cholas and they named the city as Chidambaram.
