Varadharaja Perumal Temple is a Hindu temple worshiped all over the state of Tamil Nadu. It is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple located in Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, India. The temple is also named as Hastagiri or even the Attiyuran temple. The temple has around 350 inscriptions, in which they have various dynasties like Chola, Pandya, Telugu Chodas, Kandavarayas, Cheras, Kaaktiya, Sambuvaraya, and Hoysala. Varadharaja Perumal Temple has a history believed that a lizard was fallen into the pooja vessel which was filled with water during the arthi.  Sage was very angry about seeing the lizard and for their disciple’s ignorance he cursed them to become lizards.
