Bankey Bihari Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna(avatar of Lord Vishnu), it is located in Uttar Pradesh, India. The image of Shree Krishna in this temple stands in Tribangha posture which means bent along three sides hence the name Bankey Bihari is given to this place Bankey means Bent and Bihari means enjoyer.
The history of the temple says that the Bankey Bihari Temple was established by Haridas who was the Guru of Great singer Tansen, on the request of his followers Haridas sang a verse, the Lord Krishna was pleased by his singing and appeared with his wife Radha matha, and on the request of Swami Haridas the adorable Couple RadhaKrishna merged into one and the statue or the deity of the Bankey Bihari appeared.
