Shri Ghati Subrahmanya Temple is an ancient Hindhu temple. Shri Ghati Subrahmanya is located in the outskirts of Bangaluru, near Doddaballapura. It is popular pilgrimage centre which is 60km far from the city. The Lord Karthikeya is found together with Lord Narasimha is the uniqueness of the Temple. The both the idols are emerged from earth that is beleived from the Mythology. Brahmarathotsava,(on the day of Pushya shudda Shashti) special rituals are performed. The major festival celebreted in Shri Ghati Subrahmanya Temple is Narasimha Jayanti. More than 600years of history is recorded by temple. The temple premises is filled with the small snake idols because there is a belief the people with childless couple vow to be belessed with child. The temple is known for Naga Kshetra. Free Annadanam is performes=d daily by the Temple Admisistrators.
The main pooja’s are done here are Kuja (Mars) Dosha Nivarana pooja, Naga Pratistha and Sarpa Dosha Nivarana Pooja. A strict Penance in the guise of a serpent is performed by Lord Subhramanya in the place called Ghati according to the legends.
