Shree Jagannath Temple,Puri is an hindu worshiping temple. Which isdedicated to Lord Jagannath. Lord Jagannath is a form of lord Vishnu(vashatkaarah) located on the eastern coast at Puri in the state of Odisha. Shree Jagannath Temple,Puri is an important pilgrimage destination in Odisha . Shree Jagannath Temple is one of the four great ‘Char Dham’ pilgrimage sites over india’s four cardinal points. The present relieing temple of Jagannath was rebuilt from the 10th century along with the site of an earlier temple. It was begun by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva. Shree Jagannath Temple is famous for its annual Ratha yatra( chariot festival) which will be celebrated every year. In which the three principal deities are pulled on huge and elaborately decorated temple yathra. These terms gave their name Juggernaut to the English term. Unlike the stone in Jagannath Temple and metal icons and the image of Jagannath is made totally of wood.
