Mukteshwar temple is a Hindu temple worshiped all over the state Odisha. which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Mukteshwar temple is located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. Mukteshwar temple was built in 1060 CE by Somavamshi King Yayati. And it is mounted as the most important in study of the development of Hindu temples. The Temple is very famous for its architecture which is called “Gem of Odisha architecture”.Along with Porch, Vimana, Sanctum, Jagamohana, and etc are the named architecture designer.

Mukteshwar temple has a small well which is locally known as Marichi Kund. What lies beyond the sinister of the enclosure of the water. Which is most believed to cure infertility of women. The seated figure of Lakulisa is framed on the door of the well and it is surrounded by four disciples.

The name Mukteshwar has a meaning called “Lord of Freedom”, Hence there are a number of sculptures of skeletal ascetics for teaching or even in meditation poses. There is a popular culture of celebrating a three-day yearly dance function called the Mukteswar Sance Festival. Thus it is organized by the Department of Tourism of the state government every year. It describes the features of Odissi, which is the classical dance from Odisha.
