Meleveedu Hindu Temple traces its origin to Charode Kalathil Veedu. Charode Kalathil Veedu an ancient house located near the Charode palace. A splendid carving of a galloping horse invites the attention of the visiters as they enter the padippura. The presence of which may point to the family’s early military heritage. The carving reminds the visitors, façade of Kuthira Malika in Thiruvananthapuram.
This divine temple is located to the south-west of the Padmanabhapuram Palace is Muttalakurichi which is in tamilnadu. The village path, beneath the dense canopy of coconut groves, takes us to the kottiyambalam which is the gate of Pulluvilakathu Mele Veedu. This is the ancestral home of the Sarvadhikaryakkars associated with Travancore royal family.
