Marleshwar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is located in Sangameshwar, Ratnagiri district, Maharashtra, India. Marleshwar Temple has more than 300 steps to climb but you also reach the temple by road. The temple is situated inside a cave, you have a view on the waterfalls called Dhareshwar Waterfalls . The famous festival celebrated is Mahashivarathri by doing marriage of Marieshwar and Girijadevi over very year.
Besides on ‘Mahashivratri’ and ‘Tripuri Poornima,’ there is fair. Thus the Shivlinga was to Muradpur during the beginning of the 18th century. which was brought to the place in the cave after tyrant Muradkhan has started vexing people of Muradpur. This temple is also locally known as Trambakeshwar of Konkan. The name Marleshwar has come from Maral village.
