Kandariya Mahadev Temple Khajuraho was built in 1030 by King of Chandela dynasty, Vidhyadhara. Khajuraho was the capital of the Chandela rulers. Chandela was actually the dynasty of the Rajputs who ruled starting from the early 10th century till 1050. According to the UNESCO document, Kandariya Mahadev Temple is the largest surviving temple, which was built during the reign of King Ganda from 1017-1029 CE. Throughout the year, many devotees visit this place, as it is the home of many shrines. The location of this Temple is Khajuraho in the state Madhya Pradesh, India.
