Jejuri Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Khandoba. The temple is located in jejuri city, Pune district, state of Maharashtra. Which is situated 48 km away from Pune, Maharashtra. Temple town is also known for being the venue of one of the most revered temples in the state known as the Khandobachi Jejuri. The Temple Lord Khandoba is also known as Mhalsakant or also as Malhari Martand. Dhangars is one of the oldest tribes in India who held the great reverence of Khandoba temple as the “god of Jejuri”.
Jejuri Temple is also famous for its Mandap, so the temple is basically divided into two parts . one as Mandap and other as Garbhagriha. The temple of Khandoba Jejuri named Jejuri Temple was built on the top of a small hill. Were all the devotees who visit needs to climb almost 200 steps to reach this holy place. The pilgrims at Jejuri Temple is believed that the Lord Khandoba is also the God of Sakamabhakti.
In Temple Jejuri a famous annual festival is celebrated on Dussera Time and even on Mahashivaratri.
