Govind Devji Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Govind ji (avatar of Sri Krishna), it is located in Jaipur in the state of Rajasthan, India.
The history of the temple says that the deity of the temple was built by the great grand son of Sri Krishna called Bajranabh five thousand years ago, Bajranabh, when he was around 13 years old, asked his Dadi who was the daughter in law of Krishna like how Sri Krishna looked like, and then according to her description he made three images, in the first one the foots looked similar to that of Sri Krishna’s foot in the Second Image the Chest looked exactly like Sri Krishna,s chest and in the Third image bajranabh’s grand mother told that the face looked exactly like Lord Krishna, different names were given to all three images the 1st one was called as Madan Mohan ji, second one as Gopinath ji and the third image was named as Govind Dev ji. And the third image is worshipped here as Govind Dev ji.
It is one of the oldest temples and thousands of devotees visit here to seek the blessings of Lord Sri Krishna and Krishna Janmashtami is the main festival celebrated here.
The Temple will be opened on all days of the week from 4:30 am to 11:30 am and from 5:45 pm to 9:30 pm.
