Galteshwar Mahadev Temple

Galteshwar, situated on the confluence of the rivers Mahi About 16 km from Dakor is a Shiva temple of the Solanki era, situated on the alluring Sangam of the rivers Mahi and Galati where it is said lived Galav Muni Chandrahaas of Puranic fame. It has square Garbhagriha as well as octagonal mandapa. the place is declared an ancient and cultural heritage site by the ASI. The Temple has well organised the bathing facilities in the river water of Tapi river. The temple has a giant idol of Lord Shiva. The temple is heavily crowded during Mondays and on weekends.
