Aihole Durga Temple is a Hindu Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Durga Matha, it is located in Bagalkot district of the state Karnataka, India.
The Aihole Durga Temple was built in between the 7th and 8th century by Chalukya Dynasty, the name Durga Temple not just indicates that the temple is dedicated to Durga matha but also a symbol that durga means the protector. the temples also dedicates to both Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva and their is a Nandhi which moo sometimes and there are many other Gods which are carved on the walls of the temple.
The structure of the temple is main attraction to the people and the shape of the temple is in the Indian style of architecture and is popularly called as Gajaprastha which is similar to the back of the elephant (the elephant is an holy animal which is worshipped in many Hindu temples).
