Chotila Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chamunda Devi. The temple is located in Surendranagar district, Gujarat, India. Chotila Temple is also known as Chmunda Mata Temple, Chotila and situated on top of a hill. The temple was built by a devotee whose dream the Devi has appeared and said that she was under the chotila hills. After that, the legend was instructed to dig in a certain spot and there he found the beautiful idol of Chamunda Devi. Now the temple has been renovated and the darshan hall at the temple is been extended due to more devotees.
The devotees should climb 700 steps to attend the darshan inside the temple. Every year the temple celebrates the Navratri festival for nine days with the larger arrangements. And the temple also celebrates Chaitra Navaratri during the month of April.
- Every Purnima the Arthi timing is from morning 4:00 am to evening 6:00 pm.
- The Prasad distribution is done at 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
- Free Lunch and dinner are provided by the committee of the temple itself.
