Bhadrachalam Temple is one of the most famous shrines in the country. This divine temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. The location of this shrine is on a hillock where the river Godavari flows on the left bank. The Bhadrachalam Temple was constructed during the 17th century, in the year 1674 C.E., The one who constructed this Temple was then local Tahsildar whose name was Kancharla Gopanna. Kancharla Gopanna was known asĀ Bhakta Ramadas as he was a fervent devotee of Lord Rama.
