Baba Baidyanath Mandir Jharkhand is Famous Hindhu temple. Baba Baidyanath Mandir is also called as Baidyanath Dham. Baba Baidyanath Mandir Jharkhand is one of the twelve Jothirlingas.According To Hindu’s beliefs, As we all the demon King Ravan who is one of the great devotee of Lord Shiva. Once Meditated for years to see Lord Shiva n asked him to Give his Athma Lingu to Him n as Lord Shiva was Happy with his prayers n offers him the Lingu. As Ravana was returning Home with the Linga i his hands, It was evening and he had to perform Sandyavandana for Lord Surya he finds a Bhramin and tell him to hold the Lingu till he perform the ritual of ‘Sandhyavandana’ as the Bhramin boy tel him he counts n he should be back before he finish counting. But, Ravan couldnt reach him so that bhramin boy Keeps the Lingu on the ground and the that Lingu became Permanently stuck on the ground.So this was Ravan’s mistake that he coundnt take Atma Lingu to home and do pooja everyday so, Ravana Offers his 10 heads (Dhashamukha) to Lord Shiva as Ravana was injured Lord shiva Came to him as a Doctor so the lord is called as Baidyanath because means Vidhyanath (Doctor).
