Arulmigu Thiruthani Murugan temple is a Hindu temple that is on the hill of Thiruttani, Tamil Nadu, India. The Arulmigu Thiruthani Murugan Temple is dedicated to Lord Muruga(Karthikeya). Indicating 365 days of the year the hill has 365 steps. The Lord is one of the Arupadaiveedu(Family deity), the six holy abodes of Lord Muruga. The other five Muruga Famous temples in Tamil Nadu are Thiruchendur Murugan Temple, Swamimalai Murugan Temple, Palani Murugan Temple, Pazhamudircholai and Tirupparangunram Murugan Temple. From Chennai, Thiruthani is 87 kilometers (54 mi).

It has been patronized by the local chieftains and zamindars and rulers of Vijayanagar. Lord Murugan believes the original animal compared to the peacock mount to have been an elephant, which is considered to be the most common mount. A powerful, terror striking animal is considered the white elephant. This temple and Tiruttani Murugan Temple is the iconography that is maintained only in these two places.
