The Lord Subramanya(karthikeya) is made of an amalgam of nine poisonous substances which becomes an external medicine when it is mixed with certain Ratio. The Lord Subhramanya is worshiped mostly in the form of the idol is oiled, Sandalwood paste, unguents, milk and then bathing it with water in an act of ritual purification.
